Labor Day Parade

Hi all,

The Labor Day Parade is September 12th, so it’s coming up fast. The parade steps off at 10 am from 44th Street onto Fifth Ave up to 72nd St. (Remember, the NYC Labor Day Parade is NOT on Labor Day Weekend!)
To get the details go to http://www.nycclc.org/

The Education & Labor Collaborative and the Triangle Remembrance Coalition are proud to be marching with Workers United (WU is a descendant of the ILGWU). Ruth is arranging with WU for rehearsal space the week before the parade.

WU is assigned to assemble on 48th Street on the West side of Fifth Avenue and scheduled to step off around 1:15 pm.

I have one parade vehicle pass (hoping for the fire truck), two vehicle service passes (delivering shirtwaist kites etc)  and 20 tickets to sit in the reviewing stand on 5th Ave. & 69th St.

Let’s go! Andi

The Stella D’Oro workers will be close to the head of the line. They are all about to loose their jobs because the company is shutting its doors in retaliation to the fact that the workers were unwilling to take concessions. Please join with us to defend theirs and everyone else’s rights .
