The memorial at Little Big Horn which manages to include and yet remember a very bitter history also among the tribes that fought on different sides, is extremely effective in part because it uses silhouettes to help give a sense of urgency and movement.

I think it would be great to get someone like Pete Seeger or Ronnie Gilbert who were there when the unions were struggling to come and perform.

Hi Suzanjoy,
It's wonderful to hear from you, and to learn that you will alert CLUW to the Triangle Remembrance Coalition's existence and will advance a resolution to actively commemorate the Fire, its role in labor history and the prospects for inspiring labor today. If you want to get together before the History and Archives committee meeting, that would be great. When will this meeting take place?
We look forward to working with you, and joining with CLUW to remember the Triangle.

Greetings
I am a member of the Coalition of Labor Union Women and sit on the National Executive Board of CLUW. I am also on the History and Archives Committee. I have long had an interest in the Triangle Fire and was excited to hear of the Rememberance Coalition. I am currently writing a resolution to be presented at our Biennal Convention in October asking our national organization and local chapters to take an active role in remembering this important moment in labor, social and women's history.
We have a New York City chapter which I am contacting. I am certain our organization will be interested in being involved as I am personally. This will be a major topic of discussion at the History and Archives Committee meeting at our convention. We are hoping to come up with some ideas for our participation. If you have any ideas please drop me a line. Looking forward to hearing from you.
