Ed Vargas, veteran labor leader in New York City with more than 40 years of commitment to economic, political and social justice for working families, every year – for decades – coordinated the annual ceremony honoring the victims of the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. Ed was our hero and worked tirelessly to see the Triangle Fire Memorial become a reality.
We pledge, in his name, to continue this historic project to honor the workers who died in the Triangle Fire so that they will not be forgotten.
