The Capital District Triangle Fire Centennial Coalition invites the public to a commemoration event at the New York State Museum at 4 PM on Friday March 25. The program will recognize the names of the 146 workers who died and honor the contributions of Francis Perkins, a witness to the Triangle fire and a dynamic force for worker rights, human rights and humane health and safety standards. It will mark the closing of the 40-hour FAST with its focus on ending today’s sweatshops.

The Capital District Triangle Fire Centennial Coalition includes the American Labor Studies Center, Capital District NY National Association of Women in Construction Chapter, Coalition of Labor Union Women-Capital District, Catherwood Library-Cornell ILR School, CSEA, Labor-Religion Coalition of NYS, NYS AFL-CIO, NYS Archives Partnership Trust, NYS Department of Education (NYS Museum, NYS Library, NYS Archives), NYS Department of Labor, NYS Museum, NYS Occupational Health Network, NYSUT, Occupational and Environmental Health Center of Eastern NY, OSHA, Albany Office, PEF, and the University at Albany.
