This Sunday, hundreds of New Yorkers—seniors, people with disabilities, care workers, and friends and family of people who need care— are coming together to transform the way we care in this country.

WHAT: New York Care Congress
WHEN: Sunday June 3, from 2 to 5 pm

GETTING THERE: 4/5/6 to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall. N/R to City Hall. 2/3 Park Pl. A/C J/Z to Fulton

Every 8 seconds another American turns 65, yet our care workforce is too small to provide the services our aging population will need. While there is a need for more home care workers, unemployment is at an all time high. With these challenges comes amazing opportunity. We are working to create 2 million good jobs to meet the growing needs of our country.

This Sunday will feature a wonderful group of speakers, and hundreds of New Yorkers who provide and receive care, sharing their experiences, discussing local and national opportunities to transform care, and building a movement that creates quality jobs and affordable care now and for future generations.

Featuring:
*Award-winning playwright and performer Sarah Jones, who will share a performance with us;
*Ireland’s Inez McCormack, a strong international human rights voice for women;
*Care givers, seniors and people with disabilities who will share their care stories.
