NOT ONE MORE FIRE! Organizing Globally- Remembering the Triangle Fire

April 6, 2011 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

$75

Join the International Labor Rights Forum and Host Committee for an awards ceremony and reception in Washington, D.C.

We will bring together a diverse set of leaders to reflect upon the legacy of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire for the international anti-sweatshop movement and honor groups and individuals who have shown an extraordinary commitment to workers in the U.S. and around the world. ILRF will honor: Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, United Steelworkers, American Federation of Teachers and Bangladesh Center for Worker Solidarity.

All proceeds will help ILRF to strengthen workers’ organizations and labor rights advocacy around the world.

A selection of passed hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and soft drinks will be served. All proceeds will help ILRF organize workers internationally to build a unified movement.

We will commemorate the centennial of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire and highlight the struggle of the Bangladeshi workers who have experienced several factory fires and other unsafe working conditions.
