A timely panel discussion on worker rights, collective representation, economic fairness and policy reform will feature:
- Chris Hayes, MSNBC political analyst and host of “Up With Chris Hayes”
and editor-at-large of The Nation, as moderator - Heather McGhee, director at Demos and frequent contributor to network
news programs and national media - Ai-jen Poo, founder of Domestic Workers United and one of Time
magazine’s 2012 100 Most Influential People in the World - Liz Shuler, secretary-treasurer of the AFL-CIO, representing 10
million workers - Lowell Turner, academic director, The Worker Institute at Cornell and
professor of International & Comparative Labor
The Worker Institute at Cornell, part of the ILR School, is a forum
for research and education on contemporary labor issues. The
institute promotes innovative thinking to inform policy and find
solutions for problems faced by workers and their families in
today’s economy.
