Several years ago, I worked in New York City’s garment district, and since then have wanted to write about the Triangle Fire. When a neighbor told me her mother’s inspiring story of turn-of-the-century immigration to America, I knew I had my story. The novel, City of Slaughter, will be released in March 2012, to coincide with the 101st anniversary of the fire. On March 25, 2011, I will distribute these commemorative postcards at the corner of Washington Place & Greene Street to mark the tragedy.
