This is an art piece I made in honor of my great great aunt Rosie Weiner who died in the fire. The collage is made on a shirtwaist from the 1910’s. The flames on the cuffs are hand embroidered, Rosie and the fire were on my mind during every stitch it took to make this (over 35 hours). This piece was featured in an art show at FIT on March, 26th, 2011.
