2009

Two years ago, each of us in the Coalition adopted one of the victims. One of my good friends’ name is Liebowitz, so that attracted me to Nettie. I’ve since found out that Nettie’s living relative, her great niece, has the ring used to identify Nettie, as she was so badly burned they couldn’t identify her from her features. I wear Nettie’s name and honor her every year on March 25th. I live, and am on the Central Labor Council, in Allentown, PA, where I’ve organized a commemoration. We’ll be wearing the sashes in NYC and Allentown.
